The show garden, nursery is open, perennial book, what's blooming.
Show Garden Nursery is now open Perennial book
The beautiful blooms of the bulbicodium are the first flowers to appear in our show garden this week. Our nursery is officially open this morning. The first shipments of shrubs are due to arrive later this week. Our Dictionary for Hardy Perennials has arrived much to the delight of the publishing and perennial staff.
What's Blooming?
Adonis 'Fukujukai' Aster alpinus Lewisia
Adonis is known for its huge, gorgeous, yellow blooms. A standout of the rock garden! A bright addition to any rock garden with long-lasting flowers. A spectacular plant for rock gardens. Lewisia prefer to be moist when actively growing and drier after blooming.
Phlox 'Emerald Pink' Polemonium Dicentra (Bleeding Heart)
A suitable plant for many areas including rock gardens, cevices, banks or as edging. Commonly known as Jacob's Ladder, Polemoniums love the sun and have fragrant, lavender-blue flowers that bloom early in the season. Every perennial border should have one of these hardy old-fashioned plants. Remember to avoid hot & windy sites.
Sanguinaria canadensis Heucherella Primula sieboldii
An excellent plant for the shady rock garden or woodland garden. These perennials are great as a groundcover in a shady border This primula has rich, mauve flowers in early summer and loves moist, organic soil. Another awesome choice for the shade garden.
