Tree & Shrub area now open!
Trees and Shrub area is Open!! Bedding Plant area opens on the 21st The perennial area opens this Thursday
The tree and shrub area opened this past week. Right now there are tender deck roses and lots of hardy explorer roses available. The Bedding Plant area has a busy week ahead of them as they open Thursday, April 21st. The long awaited gardening season is finally here! The perennial crew has finished repainting and are busy putting up the product signs as opening day approaches.
The Garden Centre Pink Lady's Slipper Puschkinias
This week more trellises have arrived. Lots of seed is still available. new shipments of soil and fertilizer have also arrived this morning. The watering crew made sure I took a picture the Pink Lady's Slipper in bloom this morning. Here is close-up of what I saw. Isn't this just the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? Puschkinias are perfect for colder climates. These tiny beauties are very hardy, grow largely trouble-free and naturalize readily.

Adonis Chionodoxa Irises
All sorts of plants are beginning to bloom this week. One of the most impressive is the Adonis. Its huge, yellow flowers combined with fern-like foliage, make this beautiful perennial well worth the wait. The chionodoxa are up this week. These are glorious little bulbs that burst into bloom as soon as the weather warms up. These gorgeous irises were in full bloom this morning. These beautiful, underrated little species flower in the late winter or early spring.
