What's New
The week of August 5
Great Colour in Late Summer
As a result of moving all the product to the Nursery area, it looks better than it ever has, taking advantage of the great colour afforded by perennials and annuals alike. These rudbeckia are simply stunning and are, I believe, a must have in any garden. Looking toward the cooler temperatures, you can't go wrong with kale. Last year in our show garden it looked good well into November.
The first of the mums are starting to bloom and are on sale... All outdoor furniture is on sale and you can find some unique items still in stock. Now the time to start thinking about acquiring herbs to get you through the long winter months because soon they will no longer be available.
Behind the Scenes
The last of the poinsettias are still being pinched. With over 40,000 plants it is a lot of delicate hand work. I have always maintained that now is the time to come visit the show garden as tons of perennials and flowering shrubs hit their stride. This year we are trying out some special urns for the poinsettias. Look for them come November!
