Beautiful Blooms
Stunning Blue Blooms Azaleas
I can see why in 1886, Van Gogh decided to paint the Cineraria plant. The sheer vibrancy of this blue Cineraria is simply stunning. Cinerarias produce so many blooms they tend to overtake the foliage turning the plant into one mass of colour. Referred to as the 'royalty of the garden', the azalea is known for its beautiful flowers. A perfect way to usher spring into your home.
Behind the Scenes-Geranium Planting
The Plugs The Potting Machine The Conveyor
The geranium plugs have arrived this morning. Here is their journey into the greenhouse. Dorothy, Colleen and their crew man the potting machine which fills each pot with soil. Then the girls place the geranium plug into the filled pots. From there each pot must be tagged properly as they proceed down the conveyor.
Spacing Watering Perfect Rows
The pots then head down the conveyor to the other end of the greenhouse. The crew at this end space the pots on the floor for maximum use of greenhouse space. Now Hilary, Cheryl and the watering crew get started making sure the geraniums are watered well. At the journey's end, the geraniums are in perfect rows awaiting the cycle of watering and fertilizing. From here they will be moved to the retail area ready for you to take home.
