What's New
The week of July 9
Add colour to your yard and some spice to your home
Looking great this week is 'Becky Towes' phlox; it has stunning flowers and an unusual variegated foliage. The foxgloves are also in full bloom and appreciated by customers and bees alike. One of the benefits of the larger packs later in the season is we get to see some great displays of colour like these Royale series Salpiglossis.
The floral design people have been toying with bedding plants and came up with some unique ideas like these moss planted handbags. It's an African theme in the garden centre this week and the cutflower cooler is full of great design ideas. The crating on these urns is almost as interesting as the urns themselves.
Behind the Scenes
We've placed a few of the huge containers around the greenhouses to show off just how good they look. Patience is a virtue when it comes to climbing roses but the John Davis and Quadra roses growing on the arbour in the show garden are looking spectacular this year. The first of the poinsettias are in and have joined the Christmas cactus as the Holes' growing staff start to think Christmas.
