What's New
The week of June 23
First Days of Summer = Great Gardening
This unique black bamboo will do well indoors or outdoors as an annual.
Some of the water gardens are now on sale, just in time for those long hot days of July.
New this week are some stunning hibiscus in a great selection of colours and sizes.
Ligularia are not among my favourite perennials until they start to bloom and then ... well... then they are.
Peonies are a tough sell after they have finished blooming so our patient customers reap the benefit as they now go on sale.
Dark colours are in this year with some amazing choices like this
Phlox paniculata
'Dusky Flame'
They are selling fast, but we still have a pretty good selection of clay pots on sale.
This rudbeckia 'Autumn Colors' is a large, gorgeous plant and on sale now.
We also have a few specials to help the kids say a special thank-you to their teachers.
Behind the Scenes
City TV was in this mornig to do some filming with Jim for his weekly spot.
If you think you have a lot of deadheading to do, consider the growers who have a couple of greenhouses of geraniums to keep looking their best.
This cold frame was filled to the brim with perennials in May but has slowly emptied out and is now being invaded by annuals.
