What's New
The week of March 22
A Sign of Spring
Hanging Baskets
The lush foliage and large rose-red papery flowers make the bougainvillea a gorgeous choice for hanging baskets around your house. Bamboo hanging baskets were so popular last year, we've had to plant 40-50 more to fill the demand. Black-eyed Susan Vine is a vigorous annual vine grown best as a climber in large containers or on a trellis.
New for 2004 Silver Edge Clarence Elliot
Primula 'Penumbra' is the first silver-laced primrose. A new variety for 2004. Primula 'Amethyst' has unusual silver-edged foliage and fragrant purple buds turning into amethyst flowers. 'Clarence Elliot' is a delightful primrose that prefers morning sun and afternoon shade.
Behind the Scenes
Mandevilla E-Z Grow Baskets Warm Summer Shades
The mandevilla was successfully planted this week. Creating a 'sea of trellises'. The impatiens were being planted into 'E-Z Grow' baskets this morning. By summertime these baskets smothered in blooms. The Primula veris is again a fragrant primrose that comes in warm summer shades that range from warm-red to golden-yellow.
