What's New
The week of September 3
Fall Colour Stunning Hardy
This anemone hupehensis has white or pink flowers in late summer to fall, making it a perfect plant for glorious fall colour. The orchid genus Dendrobium is known for its stunning colour, ranging from rose and violet tones to brillant yellow and gold. The hardy Champlain explorer rose has a light fragrance and blooms continuously through to the fall. A nice choice for our climate.
Lava Pumpkins Statuary Transformation
These lava lamp pumpkins have been a hit with our garden centre staff this year. I'm sure they won't last long! Add a touch of ancient mystery to your garden with Japanese statuary. We still have an excellent selection available. The transformaton is complete. Hallowe'en has officially begun in the Garden Centre. Mighty scary indeed!
Behind the Scenes
Coldframes New Seasons
Its hard to believe, but a few short months ago this area was a sea of plants. Soon the coldframes will overwinter a host of different perennials. The tiny purple flowers of this heliotrope have a heavenly vanilla fragrance. This is a new variety in our trial garden. Hearing the call of wild geese is my favourite part of fall. It was sure a surprise to hear them this week.
