What's new this week?
'Diabolo' Ninebark 'Swedish Columnar' Aspen All Shrub Fruits 25% OFF
Out in the nursery this week I noticed some great looking 'Diabolo' Ninebark still in stock. This is super contrast plant has rich purple foliage and is great in large shrub beds. Beautiful when planted in groups as a screen or windbreak and good for small yards or tight spaces. 'Swedish Columnar' Aspen are very hardy and their roots are not invasive. All our shrub fruits are 25% off this week which includes Western Sandcherry, 'Black Nanking' Cherry, 'Polaris' Blueberries and Red Currants
Bulbs
Fritallaria Daffodils Unusual Bulbs
Because of their huge blooms, unusual colors and distinctive forms, Fritillaria are winning over gardeners around the world. My favorite heralds of spring are yellow daffodils, and many gardeners must feel the same way. After tulips, narcissus is the world's most popular spring-flowering bulb. If you want something beautiful but uncommon in your garden try puschkinias. These hardy bulbs produce lovely light-blue flowers with a dark stripe on each petal.
Perennials
Alpine Phlox Wooly Thyme Gentians
Alpine phlox are a favorite of ours. Their hardiness and fantastic blooms make them a must for the alipne garden. Looking for a plant that will grow between your stepping stones? Why not try Wooly Thyme? Its fragrance is unmistakableand has the texture of a fine carpet. Alpines love the cooler weather so it was no great surprise to see gentians blooming in the show garden this morning.
