Pumpkins are coming!

The first truckload of pumpkins is here and the staff are going through them, weighing and inspecting each one in preparation for the opening of the pumpkin patch.

All sizes...

The poinsettias come in many different sizes, but these small claypots are very popular with those who don't like big huge plants.

400 Roses!

Hole's just got in a shipment of 400 Hardy rose bushes on Saturday and already almost half are gone--at half-price they are a deal most can't resist.

In the garden

This Sedum 'Frosty Morn' is in full bloom this week with the Cimicifuga ramosa 'Brunette' aslo showing its unique white flower stalks.

Scared?

These scarecrows are just one of the many halloween decorations that are filling the garden centre and the adjacent pumkin patch this week.

Xmas Colour

The poinsettias are on the verge of beginning to colour, as the emerging bracts begin to show hints of red to come.

 Great smells...

A couple of years ago the floral design staff complained about the quality and price of the stephanotis they were receiving from their suppliers. As a result, ever since we've been growing our own container for use in bouquests and corsages. Right now it is simply loaded with hundreds of fragrant blossoms.

The pumpkin patch

Slowly but surely the pumpkin patch is beginning to take shape! Filled with ghosts, witches and spiders, this year's patch promises to the the eeriest yet

Indoor Designs

This time of year the indoor plant glasshouse is filled with tropicals and blooming potted plants. There are also great designer pots like this fig and cyclamen combination.
