Another shipment of these great orange pumkins has arrived and the staff will spend a day or two checking each one over and weighing them in..

 

Preventative Maintenance

Last winter was bad on on gardens in Alberta because of the lack of moisture and snow cover, so this year the staff plans to water the show garden well into the fall to make sure thre is enough water to help the plants through the cold season.

Fall colour...

There is still a selection of trees adn shrubs in stock and some, like this Autumn Spire Maple, are showing some spectacular fall colour.

 

Corn stalks...

These stalks make great decorating accessories and add that fall harvest touch to the season.

 

 Veronica in the Garden

This Veronica pectinata is putting in its second show of tiny blue flowers as the weather cools. Many of the early spring bloomers with bloom again in the fall if the conditions are right.
