 The Pumpkin Patch

Its here and looking great! Come check out the selection.

All colours...

The poinsettias come shapes and sizes and some arf my favorites look great before they even colour up; Goldstar Pink (front and Hollypoint (back).

A rare sight...

Being Lieutenant Governor of Alberta means Lois Hole doesn't spend as much time around the greenhouses as we would all like, but today she took time out to put her seal of approval on this year's poinsettiea crop.

The Nursery is open

The nursery still has some stock, like these blooming potentillas, and is expecting at least one more shipment before the season closes for the winter.

Another rare sight...

The perennial area officially closes today but that doesn't mean Perennial Manager Bob Stadnyk will be found anywhere near his desk. He's got the next few weeks scheduled out in the cold frames planting perennials and extending his gardening season as long as possible.

Xmas care

The poinsettia crews are bragging this week as they check each plant individually for pests. This year's crop has remarkably small pest counts and are looking great.

 Indoor Bulbs

There is a great selection of indoor bulbs and containers just perfect for forcing some of your favorites.

Planting peonies

The perennial crew are hard at work planting the latest shipment of peonies to overwinter.

Indoor Colour

These ornamental peppers have a fabulous colour and make a great indoor plant.

Poppies from Holland

These poppies just got off the plane from Holland and are settling down for the winter in their new pots. A lot of our plants come from Europe, where there is a great selection of different and unique varities
